San Antonio, Texas - After the final gun sounded at the Association of College Unions International (ACUI) Intercollegiate Clay Target Championships at San Antonio's National Shooting Complex, National Collegiate Manager Victoria Croft announced NRA's Shotgun All-Americans for the 2011-2012 season.
Created in 1936, the All-American award honors collegiate shooters in
the rifle, pistol, and shotgun disciplines.
With the Rifle All-Americans announced at the conclusion of the NCAA Rifle Championships and Pistol All-Americans named after the NRA Intercollegiate Pistol Championships, both in March, the Shotgun All-Americans are the final announcement, rounding out this year's teams.
Unlike the Pistol and Rifle teams, whose members are selected based on performance in NRA Sectional matches, the Shotgun teams are made from overall performance in the International Skeet, International Trap, American Skeet and American Trap events at the ACUI Clay Target Championships.
