San Antonio, Texas - Lindenwood University started what looks to be another dominating year at the ACUI Clay Target Championships, taking first place men's, women's and team categories.

As the sun set after a long, grueling day in the heat, the top six of both the men and women shooters gathered by the clubhouse for their respective finals.

A single round of skeet separated one shooter in each of the groups from a title.

Coming out of the male shooters, this year's champion would be Lindenwood's Dustin Perry after shooting a perfect 25. Texas A&M's Thomas Bayer climbed from fourth to second in the finals with a perfect 25 himself, but #1 shooting a perfect was unbeatable and Thomas came up four points shy. Dustin's teammate Casey Van Sant placed third, shooting a 21.

From the female shooters, Lindenwood's Morgan Craft took first place. Although she did not have the highest score in the final, a 23 to Ali Chiang's 24, Craft came into the finals with an 8 point lead that was not surpassed. Lindenwood again took third as Sarah Hughes shot a 18 and avoided a tie with Kim Peters Lauderdale by one point.

Lindenwood also took first in the team category, trailed by Texas A&M in second and Bethel University in third.

Today shooters are having a go at International Trap and should finish much earlier. Hopefully no one will be shooting in the dark tonight.
