Weatherby, the famed firearm manufacturer is joining a number of other industry leaders in becoming a Sharpshooter Sponsor for the second season of the Friends of NRA TV show.

The exciting people and places covered in the show are matched only by its coloful hosts, retired Major League Baseball player Matt Duff and professional shooter Jessie Harrison. Watch the pair travel across the United States to explore the history and impact of Friends of NRA, the multi-million dollar grassroots fund-raising program. Catch episodes every Sunday at 10:00 PM EST on the Outdoor Channel.

Most famously known for its Weatherby Magnum cartridge, Weatherby, Inc. was started in the mid-1940s by Roy Weatherby, who wanted to change the world of firearm performance. Roy spent a decade developing the high-powered Weatherby Magnum cartridge and his patience paid off as the cartridge became extremely popular, making the company synonymous with quality. Roy’s son, Ed Weatherby, became president of Weatherby, Inc. in 1983 and has continued to expand and grow the company while manufacturing high quality firearms, accessories, apparel and collectibles. Visit their website for more information.

In addition to its Sharpooter Sponsorship level, Weatherby is also the television show's exclusive rifle sponsor, providing excellent firearms for use in the show's episodes.

Friends of NRA is a terrific organization that personifies the values and hard work needed to successfully contribute to the industry and lifestyle that we all love. When we were presented with the opportunity to sponsor Friends of NRA TV and help raise more money for The NRA Foundation, we couldn’t have been more excited,” said Ed Weatherby, President of Weatherby, Inc.
