Taking apart the pieces of SHOT Show

Las Vegas, Nevada - The 2012 SHOT Show wrapped up yesterday afternoon at the Sands Expo & Convention Center.

A 5:00 PM duck call sounded over the loud speaker as the National Shooting Sports Foundation announced the official close. They thanked everyone who came out and helped make the show a successful. Cheers could be heard throughout the main hall – but only for a moment. It was soon replaced by the sound of all the fancy booths sporting firearms, accessories, elaborate lighting and more being broken down, packed up, and sent off to all corners of the world.

Giant crates, forklifts and plastic sheeting were soon released as staff scrambled to finish the work before they made their way to dinner, catching a flight or simply resting their feet.

Witnessing the show's break down was impressive to see. Although I didn't stay for the entire event, I did manage to snap a few shots as I made my way out out to McCarran International Airport. Soon I'll be home and wondering what wonders SHOT Show will bring next year.

Until then.
