At first glance, you might be wondering why the National Rifle Association's new Life of Duty website is focusing on a profession such as smokejumping. Though there is an unbelievable amount of courage and dedication required to perform such a task, it's not exactly firearms related ... until you take a deeper look.

For smokejumpers protect and preserve the nation's grand forests and grasslands. Places where firearm owners have sighted in their guns or hunted the ample game. Places where we return to our roots, embrace a taste of the days our forefathers experienced during the drive of manifest destiny and come as close to nature as possible. We're able to do all this and more across our great land thanks to those who willing put themselves into harms way.

With that in mind, take a look at the trailer and get ready for the Patriot Profile of "Smokejumper."
