Members of the Elmore County Friends of NRA on NRAblog.

Nicole McMahon over in field ops came to us earlier this week with news of a new Friends of NRA committee who had recently held its very first banquet.

This wasn't just any Friends of NRA committee however, the Elmore County Friends of NRA committee in Mountain Home, Idaho, joined a short list of all-female committees in Friends of NRA’s Patriot Nation.

Their inaugural event took place this past Tuesday, November 15, and raised a net profit of $11,000 — outstanding for a committee's first try.

“I knew they would be successful because of their passion for the Second Amendment and the shooting sports,” said Steve Vreeland, Idaho NRA Field Representative.

The committee is headed up by chairwoman Christy Zito, co-chairwoman Donna Elliott, secretary Heather Atwood and treasurer Sharon Wilson. Wilson is also the Federal Firearms License (FFL) dealer who owns and operates her own shop in Mountain Home.

A big congratulations from the NRA family to these ladies on a job well done. Thank you for securing funds for shooting sports programs in Idaho!
