Over the last few weeks, Curator’s Corner has been focusing on firearms found out West. First with the 1911s on display at the National Police Shooting Championships and then at the Whittington Center in Raton New Mexico. Now that we’re back east at NRA Headquarters, Senior Curator Phil Schreier of the National Firearms Museum welcomes the segment back home with another taste of the Old West … the Colt Walker.

"It's the gun I've been waiting for all my life," said Shreier. "After 76 years, we finally have one for the collection. We've had the Josey Wales gun, the rubber ones and the counterfeits, but this is the first real Colt Walker that we can proudly present to the public."

To hear more about this beauty, tune in tonight at 10:40 eastern time as Senior Curator Phil Shreier sits down with NRANews producer John Popp to discuss the .44 caliber Colt Walker revolver on or Sirius/XM Patriot Satellite Radio.
