Named “The Bowl” because of the crater-like terrain of this particular section of the NRA Whittington Center, Stage 7 has competitors shooting a bevy of targets with their pistol and shotgun.

Starting seated, competitors draw their pistol and begin by shooting the first target from the hip before moving on to a group of paper and steel targets. After abandoning their pistol, competitors pick up their shotgun and make their way through clay and steel targets, including a Texas star.

In the video above, we follow Patrick Kelley, Kelton Casey, and Jason Tielke through Stage 7 and into “The Bowl” to see three separate approaches to the stage and how each of these competitors chooses to shoot the course of fire in a different order.
