Raton, New Mexico - After the competition ends at the 2011 NRA International Youth Hunter Education Challenge, everyone likes to get together for a little fun. On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights, special events are held after hours for the everyone to let loose, make new friends, and spend time with old friends. Last night several activities were happening in and around the Coors Building at the NRA Whittington Center, but last night two events had everyone flocking to the Coors Building.

The tables were lined with participants, coaches, and families eager to bargain during last night's Swap Meet. Pins, patches, hats, and t-shirts were hot-ticket items, but there were a few unique items as well. Whips made from mutli-colored duct tape, pens made from arrows, dinosaur hats, and much more were the topic of conversation as everyone wandered the tables hoping to make a trade.

At the other end of the building, a crowd had gathered around NRA Board Member and 2-time Superbowl Champion Dave Butz. The All-Pro former NFL player won his two Superbowl rings with the Washington Redskins, and he treated the crowd by letting them try on his rings, which are an incredible size 17! As he showed off his rings and signed autographs, he also spoke to the young hunters and their families about his time as a football player and asked about how the competition was going so far.

We'll have more on other special events including the Turkey Shoot, Flu Flu Arrow Shoot, and the infamous YHEC Tug-o-War, so keep checking back for all things YHEC!
