Competitors check in at the 2011 NRA National Junior Air Gun Championship

The 2011 NRA National Junior Air Gun Championship & Training Summit has officially kicked off at Camp Perry this morning, with registration opening at 8:00 a.m. Nearly 235 competitors along with their coaches and families have traveled from all over the country, from as far as Hawaii, California, and even Alaska. We even have an international team joining us this year from South Africa, who have brought 17 competitors as part of their contingent.

While the some of the competitors register and go through equipment check, others are already in the CMP's indoor range getting in some final practice before the competitions starts tomorrow. Later this afternoon, there will be a meeting for coaches and competitors where important information including the schedule, rules, and updates will be shared, as well as giving the coaches and competitors a chance to ask questions and meet the match staff.

As the competition continues, we'll be bringing you all the news, photos, and results from the match and the training courses. We'll even tell you how you can take a look at the competitor's electronic targets LIVE while they shoot!
