There's over $300,000 in cash and prizes on the table at the 2011 MidwayUSA & NRA Bianchi Cup, but there's one prize that the newcomers have their eye on - this check for $2,500. MidwayUSA has generously provided $2,500 to be awarded to the top first-time shooter. The second place finisher will receive $1,500 and third place will go home with $750.
But with a large number of new shooters entering the competition in 2011, getting ahold of the coveted check will require them to bring their A-game. "We have more than 60 new shooters competing this year," said NRA's Bianchi Cup guru Tom Hughes.
We'll be introducing you to some of the first-time competitors throughout the competition, so check back to see who's in the running for that $2,500 check.
