While walking around the Annual Meeting in Pittsburgh, a tap on the shoulder revealed the ever present grin of Gun For Hire's Anthony Colandro and his wife Pilar. "Hey Lars, I've got an exclusive for you."

Turns out that Gun For Hire South, also known as the South Jersey Shooting Club, will be hosting the 2011 New Jersey State Ruger Rimfire Match on August 20th this year.

"It's all thanks to the hard work of NRA Certified Instructor Chuck Berwick," said Colandro. "He got Ruger for us and will be the Match Director for the competition."

Using .22 LR pistols and rifles, Ruger Rimfire matches feature fun, safety enhanced scenarios that rise to the level of every shooter's skills. Moms and Dads, kids and adults, beginners and experts ... New Jersey's Rimfire Match has something for everyone. An all steal match, as required by Ruger, the Jersey Rimfire will consist of five pistol and three rifle stages.

"It's exciting to host an event for an outfit like Ruger," said Colandro. "More than sixty years of making quality firearms right up the road in Connecticut. Can't wait to get it started. And you guys better be here ... if you know what I'm saying."
