international skeet on the open field at the acui clay target championships

San Antonio, Texas - Here are a collection of photos from today's International Skeet championship in San Antonio, Texas.

If you're wondering about the difference between International and American versions of skeet, here is a quick distinction between the two.

Compared to American skeet, International skeet (also known as Olympic skeet) uses clays that are slightly larger in diameter, thinner in cross section and have a thicker dome center which make them harder to break. International targets are also thrown a longer distance from similar heights as American skeet, resulting in a faster target speed.

We also have a score update for individual competition as the day draws to a close and more flights are reporting in.
