The 2nd annual NRA Great American Hunting and Outdoor Show is just two weeks away, with doors opening at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 28th. Held at the Carroll County Agriculture Center - Shipley Arena in Westminster, Maryland, the show is bigger and better in its second year and is chock full of fun for hunting and outdoor enthusiasts.

Several of NRA's programs will have booths at the show include Women On Target® Hunts, the NRA Training Department,, the National Firearms Museum, Maryland Friends of NRA, and of course, NRAblog. The show has many other exhibitors including firearms manufacturers, guide services, outfitters, hunting equipment, taxidermists, and so much more! Check out a full list of exhibitors.

Whitetail enthusiasts will enjoy many aspects of the show, including the Great American Whitetail Collection, as display of 15 of the world's highest-scoring whitetails mounts, including the Crutchfield Buck, Maryland's #1 Non-Typical Whitetail. Hunting celebrity Larry Weishuhn, also known as "Mr. Whitetail," will be at the show as a seminar speaker and will also have a booth to give his tips on successful hunting. Take a look at other seminar speakers.

Those who have bagged their own trophy buck should consider entering it into the NRA Mason/Dixon Big Buck Contest. Sponsored by Cabela's, this contest will provide awards to the highest-scoring trophies. Whitetail and Sika Deer skulled antlers and mounts may be entered.

There's plenty to do at the show for young bucks, too! Kids can try their hand at the Laser Shot video game shooting system and participate in the Lil' Hunter Scavenger Hunt. And remember, kids under 11 get into the show for free!
