Marketing Coordinator Melissa Betts brings us the following from NRA's Club & Associations:

Illinois State Rifle Association named Outstanding State Association for 2009
Illinois State Rifle Association being presented the Outstanding State Association Award for 2009.
The Clubs and Associations Committee of the National Rifle Association administers the prestigious Annual Awards Program. It is geared to recognize NRA Clubs and State Associations for their exemplary dedication and loyalty to the shooting sports and the Second Amendment. One award winner per category will receive an all expenses paid trip to Arlington, Virginia to accept the award during the September 2011 NRA Board Meetings (flight, hotel and meals will be covered for one person).

Each award will be offered to successful recipients by the recommendation of the Clubs and Associations Awards Subcommittee.

  2. OUTSTANDING YOUTH CLUB AWARD
  3. OUTSTANDING STATE ASSOCIATION AWARD
  4. PUBLIC SERVICE AWARD

The deadline for receipt of the award applications is December 1, 2010. Please remember to include supporting documentation with applications as the committee will not have access to information other than which is submitted with the application. All applications must be mailed – no later than December 1, 2010, to: National Rifle Association, Clubs and Associations, 11250 Waples Mill Road, Fairfax, VA 22030. Applications will also be accepted via email at ebush@nrahq.org or faxed to 703-267-3939.
