San Antonio TPC champs Doc Ellis (Tactical Division) and Ting Sun (Patrol Division) display their trophies after a late night awards ceremony at the Blackhawk Range.
San Antonio, Texas - Things ran a touch late last night at NRA's Tactical Police Competition in San Antonio, Texas. Late enough that sometimes the camera's flash wasn't enough to illuminate the picture. So instead of a collection of all the winners, NRAblog brings you
most of the winners and those who won the guns.
Don't worry if that sounds odd to you ... it probably sounds odd to most. After all, who wins the guns except for the winners? But that's not how they play things in NRA's Law Enforcement Division.
The Law Enforcement Division only permits competitors to win one gun a year. Now that doesn't mean they go away empty handed, just that if they already won a gun then they go away without a gun for the next year. That way, the firearms are distributed throughout the law enforcement competitive shooting community.
This year, top honors to go Tin Sun of the McKinney Police Department (Patrol) and Doc Ellis of the Corpus Cristi Police Department (Tactical.) Congrats fellas.
