2-time NRA NPSC champion Robert Vadasz and 4-time NRA NPSC Woman's champion Stephanie Diaz The 2010 National Police Shooting Championship saw two former title holders win back their crowns: 2-time champion Robert Vadasz from the U.S. Border Patrol and 4-time Woman's champ Stephanie Diaz from the Los Angeles Police Department. Given that each have been competing side-by-side at NPSC for a number of years, NRAblog thought it would be interesting to get each competitor's take on the other.

Vadasz on Diaz

Stephanie is a really good shooter. She goes to the range and competes at high level no matter what. Whether she’s sick, or it’s raining, or if the winding is blowing mad, you’ll never know it from her performance. Best of all, she’s just as concerned about how you’re doing as how she’s doing. That says a lot.

Diaz on Vadasz

Robert is a great guy. Out on the line, he’s always laughing and joking with the other shooters – he just tries to make sure everyone is having a good time. As long as I’ve known him, he's always been a fierce competitor and a great sportsman all rolled up into one.

With the 2011 Championships scheduled to return to Albuquerque, New Mexico, about the only things left to chance are the winners. A little more time at the range, a little more training, and we might see someone new take the crown. Just don’t let Diaz or Vadasz hear you say that.
