Thanks to Moe Augilar in Hunter Services with another YHEC report, this one from Chemung, New York. This event has seen tremendous growth in the past year thanks to our hard working volunteers in the field like YHEC Event Director Rich Lathrop and support from the Friends of NRA.

The 2010 Chemung New York YHEC event was held on June 5, 2010 at Chemung Rod and Gun Club with 51 participants, 13 coaches and 20 volunteers in attendance. Rich Lathrop, the 2010 Chemung YHEC Event Director, was pleased to see an increase in this year’s participation up from 17 participants from 2009's event and to see the participants, coaches and volunteers have so much fun. The events offered at this YHEC event were: Rifle, Shotgun, Archery, Muzzleloading and Wildlife Identification.

Rich would like to thank all the volunteers, coaches, participants, Chemung Rod & Gun Club and parents for a great time and fun at the events. Rich would also like to thank the Friends of the NRA for their support and generous contributions to make this event happen. Special thanks go to Ms. Sandy Elkin of the NRA for assisting Rich though this process.

Rich believes many of the participants will be going to the International YHEC event to be held in Mansfield, PA from July 26-30, 2010 for the 25th anniversary of the program.

Thanks again to Rich and Moe!
