Learn how NRA defends hunters' rights.

“If someone grew up in Virginia, they might know all the places to shoot and hunt around there, but then they find themselves (stationed) in California,” says JR Robbins, Managing Editor of NRAHuntersRights.org.  “What will they do?”

The NRA hopes they will check out one of its many resources on the web, www.NRAhuntersrights.org, and use its searchable maps -- along with a variety of other tools geared to the modern hunter or huntress.

Robbins and his colleague Justin McDaniel write about every imaginable facet of hunting. But Robbins has recently been talking about something very specific: the gifted memberships made available to any active-duty U.S. military service member. "Active-duty members are eligible for one free year of NRA membership," Robbins said. These memberships are made possible by donations from dues-paying NRA members.

This topic -- hunters and veterans -- brings to mind an excellent piece written by Steve Adelmann for AmericanHunter.org last week: American Hunters Make Good Soldiers.  Give it a read. You'll be glad you did.
