Danielle Sturgis met up with some folks from Sturgis, South Dakota, at last year's SHOT Show. At right, she managed another photo at their booth here in Vegas.

This year, NRAblog has been invited to a special press conference outlining the benefits South Dakota offers companies. If you're here in Vegas at the industry-only show and are interested in learning more about this forward-thinking state, mark your calendar:

The South Dakota Governor's Office has scheduled a press conference for Thursday, January 21, at 2:30 p.m. in the Venetian's Level 2 Bassano meeting room, #2601. NRAblog will be there to tweet the conference, so be sure you are following us on twitter!

Here is a preview of what is to come:  “South Dakota is the most business-friendly state in the nation, and the strong work ethic of our citizens makes them excellent employees,” Rounds said in an official statement.

“We are proud to say there is no state income tax in South Dakota, and we also try to make it as easy as possible to start and grow businesses in the state. South Dakota has a growing firearms industry, and we’ll do our best to make others feel welcome.”
