NRAblog joins other writers, photographers, and media folk at the Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club today for Bass Pro Shops Media Day at the Range, which immediately precludes the 2010 SHOT Show.

The Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club is a nonprofit organization built in 1938 by the Army Corp. of Engineers. It features one of the few 1,000 yard shooting disciplines in the U.S.A.

We're especially looking forward to catching up with NRA Bianchi Cup sponsors Secure Firearm Products (SFP). Dave and Tammy Surgi's business is providing static steel targets and if they're anything like what we experienced at POMA in June, we're looking forward to giving them a shot.

"SFP's Dave and Tammy Surgi will be on hand at Media Day to answer questions, hand out electronic press kits and demonstrate their new target systems, which provide a variety of exciting shooting practices for recreational and competitive shooters," an official press release reads. "Those who miss visiting with Dave and Tammy at Media Day are invited to stop by their SHOT Show Booth (#1606) and register to win a high security rifle case."

We'll be sure to snap a ton of pictures. If you're headed to the range, dress warmly -- our own Claudia Olsen, who was on the range yesterday, says it is quite windy out there. Rain is in the forecast as well.
