Museum's Wanenmacher display makes the news by Danielle Sturgis 19. November 2009 08:50

Doug Wicklund, senior curator of NRA National Firearms Museum, has returned from Tulsa where he displayed two German pistols at the Wanenmacher’s Tulsa Arms Show.

Held twice a year, the show calls itself the "world's largest selection of antique, collector and modern firearms, knives and accessories." The Museum traditionally sends an exhibit.

"It was a great weekend with all sorts of collectors, enthusiasts, and families," Wicklund told NRAblog of the November 14-15 show. At left, Wicklund manned this booth for the entire two-day show, answering questions and distributing literature about the NRA National Firearms Museum.

Nazi sabotage mission in U.S. related in gun show's display

Two German pistols and a detonator seized from Nazi saboteurs who landed on U.S. soil in 1942 will be the featured exhibit at a Tulsa gun show this weekend.

Billed as the largest gun show in the world, the Wanenmacher's Tulsa Arms Show starts Saturday at the QuikTrip center at Expo Square.
