A Refuse To Be A Victim® personal safety and crime prevention seminar was presented this weekend at NRA HQ in Fairfax, VA.
"59 people attended the seminar, including several teenagers and college age students," national coordinator Ruthann Sprague told NRAblog, pointing out participants traveled from as far as Puerto Rico to attend.
"The seminar participants all thought the information was very helpful and well presented," Sprague said. "Some quotes from the evaluations were: 'The subject matter was even more than I had anticipated;' 'Dynamic presenter who knows what he is talking about;' 'Very informative in a fun and amusing environment;' 'Thought provoking.'"
LT Edward C. O'Carroll of the Fairfax County Police Department, a Refuse To Be A Victim® Executive Counselor, was on hand to instruct. Sprague reports 20 participants stayed for the Instructor Development Workshop.
