As promised, here are some more pictures of our visitors to the NRA National Firearms Museum's Halloween event. "Everyone had a great time, and the Museum is thrilled to be part of the community in this way," Museum Director Jim Supica said. This year we saw several children dressed as Harry Potter, Hannah Montana, assorted transformers, Stormtroopers, princesses, and dinosaurs.
Many families were enjoying their first trip to the Museum. "We had no idea you were here, but we're definitely coming back," the mother of two pirates told NRAblog.
Several dads said they had enjoyed the NRA Headquarters Shooting Range but were unaware the Museum was open to the public. "It's a great way to spend an afternoon as a family, with the treats and candy being an added bonus to keep the kids interested," one said.
Supica and his staff plan to make this an annual event. "We definitely expanded on what we had last year, with bigger and better additions coming in 2010!" Supica said. NRAblog would like to suggest a costume contest, a corn maze, and bobbing for apples. Stay tuned -- there are more pictures to come!
