If you're in the northern Virginia area Thursday, October 22, plan on stopping by the National Firearms Museum's quarterly speakers series event.

Billed as the NRA’s National Firearms Museum/Virginia Gun Collectors Association’s Speakers Series, this is the third of four talks by noted historians and authors for the 2009 season.

Author John Hamilton will speak and answer questions on his latest books, The American Percussion Schuetzen Rifle and American Fraternal Swords: A Reference Guide. Both books will be available at the event. His speech is scheduled to begin around 7 p.m., but the Virginia Gun Collectors Association meeting begins at 6. Refreshments will be served.
