With limited Internet access and the conclusion of the NRA-sponsored 5k Memorial Race, we're hearing less from international correspondent Phil Schreier, pictured at right. Schreier is in Afghanistan through this weekend. When he's stateside, Schreier wears the title of Senior Curator at the NRA's National Firearms Museum in Fairfax, Virginia.

When he is able, Phil communicates with NRA Headquarters via e-mail. Below, his most recent update:

Today I took pictures of unit small arms and equipment and met with a number of commanders who will be replacing the TF Warrior staff as they take over in two weeks. Tomorrow I will visit the shooting range and Friday I will do a story and photos from the famed and almost mythical Afghanistan gun bazaar. Saturday I will have an exclusive look into an arms room.

Sunday I will attempt to fly home -- I should be in DC by breakfast Monday morning!

Safe travels, Phil! Catch up on previous coverage here.
