MSNBC.com ran a story today, titled “In many states, young kids may hunt alone.”

While that headline may be encouraging to us, the article has stimulated substantial reaction that supports restrictive minimum age laws for hunters.

About 30 states allow parents the discretion to decide for themselves when their own children may hunt, and the safety record in those states is at least as good or slightly better than states with restrictions. NRAhuntersrights.org will have more on this topic shortly, but for now, please go to the msnbc poll, “What should be the Minimum Age to Hunt Without Adult Supervision,” and express your opinion.
