The second annual NRA Women's Wilderness Escape is scheduled for September 24 to October 2. The NRA Women’s Programs is now accepting applications to participate in the Escape.

This nine-day event will be held at the NRA Whittington Center in Raton, NM. The escape provides women 18 and older training in shooting a shotgun, a long-range high power rifle, and archery as well as historic firearms. Program directors have added courses on personal protection and concealed carry methods to this year’s Women’s Wilderness Escape program.

Applicants are not required to have hunting and shooting experience. The National Rifle Association will provide all firearms and ammunition for the Escape.
