Beth Terry at the ASRPA centenary celebration

Phoenix, Arizona - The Arizona State Rifle and Pistol Association celebrated its 100th birthday this past week. The association has spent the past century promoting shooting sports across the state of Arizona.

On May 23, they held their annual meeting and luncheon at the American Legion in Central Phoenix, just a week after the NRA’s Annual Meeting and Exhibition left the city. Beth Terry (pictured above), a motivational speaker and author of “101 Ways to Make Your Life Easy,” appeared at the event.

They had several door prizes and raffled off an M1 Garand rifle. And having held the event on the weekend before Memorial Day, they took a moment to honor America’s POW-MIA. “Most of us are veterans,” Arizona State Rifle and Pistol Association President Landis Aden said. “It just seemed appropriate.”

The ASRPA oversees all NRA shooting competitions in Arizona. You can learn more about the Arizona State Rifle and Pistol Association on their Web site at
