The Green Valley Range is putting forth a lot of effort to ensure a successful 30th Anniversary NRA Bianchi Cup this week here in Columbia, Missouri. You might say they get a feeling of satisfaction out of the event, or that it’s good publicity for the range.
But one measurable benefit of hosting an event as large as the NRA Bianchi Cup is literally sparkling with value – “the range has the right to all the spent brass,” a competitor told NRAblog.
Above, volunteers collect spent brass after a match at the Falling Plate event range Thursday afternoon. Different ranges and competitions have an array of policies when it comes to brass, but we’re told many ranges distribute it to volunteers depending on who requests it.
Reloading is becoming more popular in this economy, and NRA has programs to help you learn the ropes. Check out the benefits of reloading. Find a course in your area for Metallic Cartridge Reloading or Shotgun Cartridge Reloading, or call NRA’s Training Department at (703) 267-1428 for more information. The NRA Guide to Reloading is available from our Program Materials Center.
