NRAblog.com would like to thank Nicole McMahon for the following “Banquet Spotlight:”

St. Vrain Valley Friends of NRA banquet in Longmont, Colorado brought in approximately $45,000 with over 370 attendees, making it one of the highest netting banquets for the weekend. They netted over 60% more from last year and raised their attendance level almost 25%.

When asked how he did it, Chairman Dan Junk responded, “By raffling off three gun safes containing six guns each the night of the banquet. We also had a $10,000 sponsorship the night of the banquet also!”

This was St. Vrain Valley Friends of NRA’s 7th banquet. “Bob Holliman, Tom Adam, Mark Chambers, and I were the original charter members and leaders in the local 4-H. We were looking for ways to raise money [for the organization],” Junk said. “We’re very happy with our level of success.”

To help the banquet committee next year or attend other Friends of NRA events in Colorado, please contact Colorado Field Representative Marc Steinke at (719) 207-4080 or msteinke@nrahq.org.
