NRAblog thanks Nicole McMahon for passing along the following:

NRA Volunteer Extraordinaire Marlene Duncan works with a young shooter (pictured above) during the Arizona Department of Game and Fish Expo at the Ben Avery Shooting Facility in Phoenix. The Expo was held March 28 and 29, 2009 with 35,000 in attendance, according to official estimates. People attend the Expo to learn about Arizona’s wildlife resources and recreational opportunities while in a family-friendly atmosphere.

One of the events hosted by the Expo was the shooting range where young people had the opportunity to shoot in a safe, controlled environment. Marlene was not seen taking a break from the firing line all day, both days.

Benefactor Member Marlene Duncan regularly holds Women On Target® pistol clinics, and is an expert at teaching air guns. She is an NRA Training Counselor, an Advanced Shooting Coach and Master JROTC Marksmanship Instructor. She is also a recipient of the 2009 NRA Woman of Distinction Marion P. Hammer Award, which recognizes women who fight to preserve Second Amendment freedoms.

She and her husband live in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, “home of the London Bridge.” Marlene is the Chairman of the London Bridge Friends of NRA committee and her husband, Jack, is the Treasurer. This year, the event took was March 12 and raised over $7,000 for The NRA Foundation.
