NRA Range Manager Greg Wodack took a few minutes to touch base with NRAblog. Range users have experienced particularly long waits lately, and Saturday and Sunday are among the busiest days.

"The least busy times are Monday and Friday between 10 and 5,"  Wodack told us. Range staff--all NRA-certified Range Safety Officers, or RSOs--stay on top of the game by signing people in and out as lanes become available.

"Annual membership basically gets you unlimited use of the range for 13 months," he continued. If you choose not to become a member of the NRA's headquarters range, you may still utilize it. There are different hourly rates (and annual rates, too) for NRA members and nonmembers.

As for the future of the range, Wodack says he can't be sure of any planned changes. "It’s everything it could be right now," he said.

Planned maintenance work means the range will be closed from March 30 through April 13. Questions? E-mail the range at nrarangeadmin@nrahq.org!
