Shooting is an activity that can be fun and exhilarating, but with the state of the economy and rising ammunition costs, many shooters are looking for ways to enjoy their sport while saving money. One method shooters use to cut costs is to reload their own ammunition rather than purchasing new cartridges and shells.
The above video is a PSA from MetaMedia on the benefits of reloading. You may not be familiar with the process, but the NRA's Training Department is here to help!
The NRA’s Training Department has developed two six-hour courses to help shooters learn to reload their ammunition. The NRA Basic Metallic Cartridge Reloading Course is perfect for pistol and rifle shooters looking to reload their own centerfire cartridges. Shotgunners can opt for the NRA Basic Shotgun Shell Reloading Course to learn how to put their used hulls and brass to good use.
In addition to saving money, many shooters find reloading to be an enjoyable and stress-relieving pastime. NRA Certified Instructors can take these reloading courses via home validation by ordering from the Program Materials Center.
