NRA Women On Target

Elizabeth Hellmann, National Coordinator of NRA's popular Women On Target® Instructional Shooting Clinics, brings us the following:

Recently, Women On Target volunteers in California raised questions concerning NRA Instructor Insurance. The NRA does not provide insurance, but Lockton Risk Services administers an NRA-endorsed insurance program for NRA-affiliated clubs and Business Alliance Members for a minimal charge. This insurance covers insured firearms instructors at any event they teach or assist, including Women On Target Instructional Shooting Clinics. Information can be found on page 26 of the Women On Target Instructional Shooting Clinic Guide.

Insurance for clinics is the responsibility of the club, group, or organization hosting the event. Most organizations already have insurance coverage, but contact should be made with the provider to review the extent of the policy. If additional coverage is needed, it may be possible to add a rider to the existing policy for a fee.
