Bowie Hunter - 2009 Knife of the Year

Next up in our new Friends of NRA merchandise for 2009 is the Knife of the Year: D’Alton Holder has teamed up once again with upstate New York’s Canal Street Cutlery Co. to create this exclusive Bowie Hunter.

Holder’s world-renowned experience in knife making has made his name synonymous with precision and beauty, and the Bowie Hunter is no exception. Created from one piece of 19C7 Sandvik specialty steel, each knife truly represents Friends of NRA. The handle is fashioned from top grain genuine leather, which has been peened, dyed, and stabilized.

Also included on the handle is a recessed nickel silver NRA shield. The left side of each blade is skillfully engraved by Baron Technologies with a moose profile and the Friends of NRA logo. Each knife displays “1 out of 1,125” on the blade and is consecutively numbered on the tang by Canal Street Cutlery Co.

Accompanying the knife is a custom designed moose faux antler base. The natural color and striations make it the perfect match for the one-of-a-kind knife. This knife will make a great addition to any NRA home.
