Jason QuickFriends of NRA Event Services Coordinator Nicole McMahon, who works directly with NRA Field Representatives throughout the country, will bring NRAblog.com readers a profile of a different Field Representative each week. This week, meet Area 37 Senior Field Representative Jason Quick.

Nicole McMahon: What geographic area do you cover?

Jason Quick: I handle Central California – from Santa Barbara on the coast, to Hollister to the east, over to Bishop, down to Ridgecrest, and back on Highway 58 to Bakersfield.

NM: When was the start of your career as a NRA Field Rep?

JQ: I started [in] November of 2004.

NM: What drew you to the job?

JQ: I had been a Friends of NRA Chairman on a committee since 1995, and always enjoyed the Friends program.

NM: What is the most unique part about the area you represent?

JQ: Central California is unique due to its large farming industry within the Central Valley, and strong NRA supporters throughout this area.

NM: What would you say is your average traveled miles per year?

JQ: My average travel has been dropping over the last few years. It started out at about 46K and now is down to about 25K.

NM: Do you have a particularly memorable story about a banquet from your area?

JQ: I remember when I told my Paso Robles Committee that I thought they should be raising over $100K net every year – they all looked at me and agreed! That year we raised $118K net.
