Kayne RobinsonThe NRA has long been a supporter of the Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade Show and Conference, commonly referred to as SHOT Show. Owned and operated by the National Shooting Sports Foundation, SHOT Show was in Vegas in 2008 and heads to sunny Orlando, Florida, a week from today to celebrate 31 years of successful outdoor industry shows.

On hand at SHOT Show are the following NRA divisions:

  • NRA Law Enforcement Activities Division, or LEAD
  • NRA Competitive Shooting, with representation from Pistol, High Powered Rifle, and Disabled Shooting departments
  • NRA Education and Training, with newly-appointed National Shooting Sports Youth Ambassadors in tow
  • NRA Foundation: learn more about supporting the programs of the NRA
  • NRAnews.com will be broadcasting live -- listen for interviews with NRA President John Sigler, Executive Director Kayne Robinson, and more!
  • Membership. Renew or join

Kerrin Brinkman As well as a host of exhibitors.

Briefly glancing at both the general schedule and the schedule for SHOT Show University, there are millions of things NRAblog.com would like to cover over the course of the four days. Of course the NRA booth will be an awesome opportunity to meet and mingle with NRA members and advocates. On January 14, NRA Board Member Bob Viden (who, as you may remember, recently hosted the 6th Annual NRA Day in New Jersey) is presenting a session titled Adding a Shooting Range to Your Retail Store. Keynote speaker Bill Engvall will be on hand January 15 for the National Shooting Sports Foundation's State of the Industry Dinner.

And don't forget the Exhibit Hall -- acres of the latest and greatest products in the industry. SHOT Show hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday.

If you can't make it there, let NRAblog.com be your eyes and ears for an event you won't want to miss!
