Senior Curator Doug Wicklund watches as Historian Alexander Rose takes aim on the NRA's state-of-the-art 50-yard indoor range We were lucky enough to spend this morning with Historian Alexander Rose at the NRA's Headquarters Range. Rose was here taping a segment with NPR. NPR Correspondent Andrea Seabrook, NRA National Firearms Museum Senior Curator Doug Wicklund, and Rose fired a variety of rifles on the range.

In November we wrote about his visit to the Museum and linked to an excerpt from the book American Rifle: A Biography.

NPR tells us the segment will run around 5 p.m. EST on Sunday, Dec. 28. If we're able, we will eventually upload the clip to the blog.

After guiding him through the rich history of the National Firearms Museum, NFM Director Jim Supica was nice enough to provide Mr. Rose with an autographed copy of his book for all future firearms references.
