Takes phrase from NRA Executive VP's now famous speech about the best way to stop bad guys with a gun

The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun t-shirt from NRAStore.com

Good Guys now wear Black (and Navy)

NRAStore Sales Manager Dirk Grove sends us the following on an inspiring new product at NRAstore.com:

Fairfax, Virginia - Some folks just don’t get it.  They don’t realize that when more law-abiding citizens are armed, the safety of ALL citizens increases.

All too often, those of us who staunchly defend the Second Amendment are vilified as the “bad guys.”

For NRA patriots there are no gray areas. We all know that a firearm is only a tool. Wayne LaPierre captured the essence of the issue last year when he said:

“The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.”

Show your support for the NRA and let the world know you’re one of the good guys when you wear our new GOOD GUY WITH A GUN t-shirt. Printed in full color on both front and back, it grabs the attention of those who see you coming with the provocative slogan, “THE ONLY THING THAT STOPS A BAD GUY WITH A GUN IS…”

National Firearms Museum closes the Maltese Falcon exhibit after 3 years

NRA curators Schreier and Sharpe pack up the Maltese Falcon for the trip back to California

Fairfax, Virginia - Almost three years ago today, a true Hollywood legend walked into the National Firearms Museum. Well, the legend rolled more then walked. For it was neither a woman or man who entered the museum — it was a thing. A statue. The Hollywood statue. The Maltese Falcon.

For thirty months and twenty some odd days, the Maltese Falcon has called the National Firearms Museum home. Sitting in a place of honor, beside the .44 Magnum Smith & Wesson revolver Clint Eastwood used in the first Dirty Harry movies, the falcon went practically unnoticed to the untrained eye. But once recognized, it produced the ultimate affect that every curator hopes for when displaying a new artifact — a smile.

Fairfax, Virginia - The NRA Program Materials Center, NRA’s online marketplace for everything from training handbooks and videos to shooting aides and program apparel, processed a record number of orders in January 2013.

The record stood for exactly 28 days, until February’s numbers came in.

“Demand has been through the roof, to the point that our old benchmarks have had to be readjusted,” said Bill Poole, Managing Director of NRA’s Educational and Training Division. “We’ve had to adjust our replenishment triggers just to keep items in stock.”

January’s total of 6,800 transactions shattered the previous record of 4,700 set in March 2012. Nearly 7,000 orders were placed in February, followed by more than 6,400 in March. With the significant increase in orders during the first quarter of 2013, expectations are high for the remainder of the year. For comparison, the Program Materials Center processed approximately 3,900 transactions in both January and February 2012.
