St. Louis, Missouri – Ken Yahl of Pacific, Missouri bought a single ticket for today's twelfth round of the NRA Foundation's Wall of Guns. His son bought one too. With a drawing done for each 100 tickets sold, there was a 1 in 50 chance someone from their family would win.
They wished they had better odds, but it was good enough.
With the hundredth ticket sold and the barrel given a few good turns, a young boy from the crowd pulled out Ken's ticket to a round of applause. Ken's grandchildren were ecstatic, his son and daughter-in-law couldn't believe it, and Ken had a wry smile on his face befitting someone who had just won a great prize.
