Las Vegas, Nevada - Continuing with plans to expand the SAM7K series, K-VAR added another AK pistol to its product line and is now available to customers. The SAM7K-02 enters the mix sporting a tactical hand guard with attached flashlight that allows shooting enthusiasts to easily locate the target.

The hand guard (sku: KR-016B) is the original Bulgarian hand guard set that includes the latest generation design lower hand guard with flash light made from mil-spec black polymer. The integrated flash light emits a very bright glow for fast target acquisition. The flashlight uses two 3 Volt lithium batteries (CR 123 ASL) and is designed for milled-receiver Krinkovs.

Top Shot favorite stops by Brownells/NRA luncheon to meet young shooters

Las Vegas, Nevada - Gabriela “Gabby” Franco has been in high demand as of late. Not only is she a sought after NRA Certified Instructor in the Miami area, but she's also making personal appearances, serving as pistol instructor for local police departments and competing in a variety of tournaments. Probably not what she was expecting after finishing in the top six of History Channel's Top Shot competition … probably a lot more.

That is why we were so grateful to have her speak at the 2013 Brownells/NRA Youth Shooting Sports Ambassadors luncheon at this year's SHOT Show. With parents, chaperons and industry representatives gathered round, Gabby took to the podium and explained how shooting helped focus the truly important aspects of life.

Maker of NRA's Knife of the Year finds fans at SHOT Show

Las Vegas, Nevada - Fourteen years ago, on the shores of Semiahmoo Bay, Brad Smith was tired of daily grind. Employed by a major sunglass manufacturer, the days had grown long and the work unrewarding. He needed a change.

Reaching back into family history, to the skills and lessons passed on years ago by his grandfather, he left the workplace to pursue what was then a hobby — knife-making. A decision that spurred the creation of Silver Stag Knives.

After Top Shot, Terry Vaughan planning to embrace the open range and mountain tops of Wyoming

Earlier this week, told you about Top Shot Englishman Terry Vaughan and his experience after the History Channel show. At the end there was talk of his move to Wyoming. Here's how it happened:

Las Vegas, Nevada - Moving from one end of the pond to another doesn't sound like that big of a deal. But it is when the pond you're referring to is the Atlantic Ocean. That's what Terry Vaughan — former dancer, British Royal Marine Commando and Top Shot contestant — did a number of years ago.

Now in the states, as a nationally recognized expert on non-verbal communications and an experienced NRA Certified Instructor, he is making another move. Not across the pond, but across the nation. That's right, he's picking up the business, the wife and the kids and moving them all to Wyoming.

Apparently Top Shot colleague Tim Trefren is to blame.

Taking non-verbal and body language techniques on the road after Top Shot

Las Vegas, Nevada - Terry Vaughan was a busy man back in 2011. Father of three, motivational speaker and an NRA Certified Instructor ... you get the idea. There were never enough hours in the day. But things really took off after his appearance on Season 4 of Top Shot on the History Channel.

"Since the show aired, the increase in personal safety seminars as well as the non-verbal and body language classes has gone up exponentially," Vaughan told NRAblog at the 2012 SHOT Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. "It's a sign of the shift in people's desire to learn personal safety."

Based out of Charlotte, North Carolina, the former British Royal Marine Commando spends his professional days traveling the country to perform such a task. Real deer scents made for real deer hunters by real deer farmers

Las Vegas, Nevada - I always find it fascinating to hear the story of invention ... especially while wandering the countless booths during SHOT SHow. What was the inspiration? A wanting need, a life long dream or, in the case of ConQuest Scent Sticks, poor time management.

"One of our guys was out in the fields when the day ended," Karen Roberts began (Karen owns the ConQuest Deer Farm in Michigan with her husband Doug). "Like a lot of our people, he planned to go deer hunting right after work.

"He was covered in sweat, covered in deer food and, well, covered in deer excrement. Because he was running late, he just grabbed his bow and headed for the stand. When he got there, something amazing happened."
