International Air Steels Program in Tempe, Arizona

Tempe, Arizona - If you're a deadeye looking for a challenge, you won't want to miss the upcoming International Air Steels Program (IASP) shoot at Tempe Paintball and Airsoft on April 12. Experience the fun of steels as you race to hit as many targets as you can with one gun.

Held from from 8 am - 10 am just east of Tempe, Arizona, shooters will complete four stages of fire with either a 6mm Airsoft rifle or 6mm Airsoft pistol.

2014 NRA Intercollegiate Air Rifle Championship at Fort Benning, Georgia

Columbus, Georgia - Competitors are at the line for the NRA Intercollegiate Rifle Club Championship's second and final match, Air Rifle.

Another 60-shot match, this time competitors trade in their .22 rifles for compressed air power. Also unlike the Smallbore Championship, all shots are taken from the standing position.

Columbus, Georgia - This year's NRA Intercollegiate Pistol Championships concluded with announcing the rosters for the 2014 NRA All-American pistol teams.

Started in 1936, the All-American award honors collegiate shooters in the rifle, pistol, and shotgun disciplines. These collegiate shooters are selected by their grade point average and having the highest average scores during the regular season. They are truly at the top of their game.

Fairfax, Virginia - March Madness is officially kicking off this weekend as teams around the nation raise their rifles for a shot at qualifying for the 2014 NCAA Rifle Championships in Murray, Kentucky. With events in Fort Worth, West Point, Lexington, and Columbus, the qualifying events are the first step in earning one of eight invitations to the big dance in Kentucky.

Though competitions are taking place all throughout the nation this weekend, most of the rifle world is zeroed in on Murray State's Pat Spurgin Rifle Range where top ranked West Virginia joins #4 Nebraska and #5 Jacksonville State in their push for the overall prize.

NRA National Indoor Rifle & Pistol Championships

Fairfax, Virginia - All signed up for the 2014 National Matches? If only it weren't the dead of winter... What if you could find some competitive shooting action now? The answer: the NRA Indoor Rifle & Pistol Championships.

Compiled from sectional tournaments held all over the United States, the Indoor Championships involve thousands of shooters and are the NRA's biggest competition of the year. And between smallbore, air rifle, BB gun light rifle, pistol and air pistol, competitors have a lot of options.

Because the championships are shot postal match-style with all the sectionals, there is a large window for shooters to compete. The Open championship runs from 1/1 - 3/18 and the Junior championship from 1/1 - 4/15.

Columbus, Georgia - Following the awards for this year's NRA Intercollegiate Pistol Championships, the NRA announced the rosters of its annual All American pistol teams.

Created in 1936, the All American award honors collegiate shooters in the rifle, pistol, and shotgun disciplines. Rifle All Americans were announced just recently at the NCAA Rifle Championships and the Shotgun All Americans will be announced at the ACUI Clay Target Championships next week.

2013 Intercollegiate Rifle Club Championships wrap up with smallbore position match

The smallbore firing line at the NRA Intercollegiate Rifle Club Championships at Fort Benning, Georgia

Columbus, Georgia - On a markedly foggy day on Fort Benning, the competitors of the 2013 NRA Intercollegiate Rifle Club Championships gathered for the second half of their tournament.

Assembling at the US Army Marksmanship Unit's 50 meter range, they unpacked their guns and prepared for the Smallbore Championship. The match is fired from three positions - prone, standing and kneeling - divided evenly into strings of 20 shots per position.

NRA Intercollegiate Pistol Championships' second, and deciding, women's title

Columbus, Georgia - The fourth of the NRA Intercollegiate Pistol Championship's five titles is Women's Sport Pistol.

Shot Wednesday, it was the second and final Women's championship. Here the United States Naval Academy clenched their Women's National Team title while West Point's Heather Deppe earned this year's individual crown.

Members of the United States Military Academy's Pistol Team, the 2013 NRA Intercollegiate National Champions.

Columbus, Georgia - After three grueling days of battling back-and-forth with service academy rival Navy, the Black Knights of West Point pulled ahead to capture this year's aggregate to become the National NRA Intercollegiate Pistol Champions of 2013.

The aggregate is comprised of scores from three separate matches; the Free Pistol, Standard Pistol and Open Air Pistol championships. Scoring 2004, 2114 and 2208 respectively, the Army cadets tallied a final total of 6326 pointsout of a possible 7200.
