Buckeyes take high team aggregate and high individual aggregate at NRA championships at Fort Benning
Fort Benning, Georgia - The Ohio State University successfully defended their NRA Intercollegiate Pistol title this past week, fending off a last minute rally by The Citadel during the championships' last match - Open Air Pistol. The Buckeyes only took one of the three matches that comprise the championship, but thanks to a combined team effort they put together a 6331 for the highest overall score. That's all that really matters in the end, right?
The Citadel, who entered the final day in third and 33 points down to the United States Naval Academy, took their last opportunity to put points on the board and shot an excellent Open Air Pistol to edge Navy by eight points and secure a second place finish with 6240 to Navy's 6232.
